My experience with special needs children...
I've worked with children on the spectrum and with cerebral palsy. One of the families I worked full time for had a 14 year old with down syndrome who used a wheelchair, was non verbal, and required assistance with hygiene, eating, ect. He also experienced frequent seizures as well.
