More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes volunteering at Sequoyah Elementary during the [phone number hidden] school year where I supported students in the classroom and assisted with daily activities. I also volunteered at the Victoria Zoo, helping guide and supervise children during educational events. Currently, I work in childcare where I care for children of various ages, helping with routines, meals, playtime, and learning activities. These experiences have strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to create a safe and nurturing environment for every child in my care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with children are anything that sparks their creativity, curiosity, or joy. I love doing arts and crafts, whether it’s painting, drawing, or creating fun DIY projects. I also enjoy physical activities like playing outside, going on walks, dancing, or setting up simple obstacle courses to keep them active. I’m big on imagination and enjoy reading stories, building with blocks, and playing make-believe. I always try to adapt activities based on each child’s interests and energy level while keeping things safe, fun, and developmentally supportive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, nurturing environment where the children feel loved and supported. It’s about being reliable, patient, and attentive to their needs while encouraging their growth and happiness every day.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs kids includes volunteering at an elementary school where I worked closely with children who had behavioral challenges. I spent time helping them stay on task, regulate emotions, and build positive social skills. I also volunteered with a special needs baseball league that welcomed kids of all ages and abilities. We assisted them with hitting, catching, throwing, and most importantly being present and connecting with them. It taught me patience, understanding, and the importance of creating a safe and encouraging space for every child to shine.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory is from babysitting. I was babysitting a little girl one evening. We built a huge fort together out of blankets and pillows, and then spent hours playing inside it, telling stories, playing games, and just having fun in our cozy little hideaway. Seeing her smile and hearing her laughter made that night really special, and it reminded me how important it is to create joyful, memorable moments with kids.
