I use to do a lot of volunteer work at my church. I helped out in the day care, working with kids ages 4-6.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing lot's of arts and crafts, such as painting or coloring. I also love taking the kids to the park or the pool, or just going on a walk. I love watching movies with them with snacks. Playing bored games is also really fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is know the kids you work with. All kids are different and like different thing. Once you know the kids it really help knowing how to make sure the kids is enjoying hanging out with you. It is important to make a strong connection with the kids, to insure that they want you to come back. It is also really important to know their need. What food, medicine and activities they need.
My experience with special needs children...
I have done volunteer work, working with children with disabilities at my school. I worked with many different student all with different disabilities. I helped them with school work, did many crafts and activities with them. I learned how to calm them down and help them when needed. I also went on some field trips with them through out the school year.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My most memorable moment working with kids was when I was nannying last summer. The 3 kids and I made a movie. This was really fun, the kids had so many ideas that we were able to turn into a short film. This kept us busy for a couple days over the summer.
