Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked as a Supervisor for the City of Boise Parks and Recreation programs for after school care and summer camps. A lot of what I do in this role is dealing with behavioral issues, talking to parents about their children's needs, and being the person that kids come to when they need anything.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to plan activities for the kids I work with. I have experience planning and setting up crafts, setting up active games, and creating engaging thinking games for kids on a large scale (25-50 kids). Some of my favorite activities to do with kids is soccer, drawing, friendship bracelets, and card games.
My experience with special needs children...
I've worked with a few memorable kids with light-mild autism, and each of them had a different set of needs that me and my coworkers were able to meet. It took some trial and error to see what worked for each child, but it helped me learn a lot about working with kids with special needs.
