I'm fourteen, male, intelligent, good with people, and at the top of my classes. Looking for some work to do to better my future. I have a 4 year-old baby sister that I am excellent in caring for. I am personable and friendly, and know how to get children to comply with things that are needed from them. I know how to talk to kids as I still am one myself, yet will be firm in the right areas if need-be (e.g. preventing a kid from performing forbidden activities, etc).

I will respect any and all boundaries and directions you put in place for me. I can promise you a satisfactory job. I suggest not making me work with people above 11, as I may be seen as an equal rather than a caregiver. I am a bit small for my age after all. (5'2")

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is keeping a healthy nanny relationship, especially with kids old enough to talk. It has to be clear that you are their friend, but that you are also an authority figure. Not passive-aggressively of course, just carefully asserting yourself during appropriate scenarios.

My experience with special needs children...

I used to go to a charter school with a younger autistic kid named Malachi. The school wasn't funded very well, so often times I would look after him to make sure he doesn't hurt himself, as nobody else would. He got in fits sometimes, but I was able to talk him out of them and de-escalate. We got along well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I've never officially babysat for money before, but I've had a lot of good times caring for my younger sister. I remember watching her use a couch as support and starting to walk around for the first time.
