I have several years of childcare experience, including a long-term nanny position from [phone number hidden], babysitting for different families and age groups, and working as a youth swim coach with children ages 5–12. My responsibilities have included everything from meals, routines, transportation, playtime, and bedtime to helping keep the household running smoothly. Coaching also gave me experience working with multiple children at once, keeping them engaged, and helping them learn new skills in a safe and encouraging environment. I’m comfortable taking initiative and adapting to each child and family’s individual needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy helping with homework, teaching new things, and working through something together when a child is having a hard time or getting frustrated. I love seeing that moment when something finally clicks and they realize they can do it! I also love crafting, baking, playing games, going outside, and finding creative ways to get kids engaged and away from screens. I’m always looking for things we can actually do together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is caring for the whole family. Of course, that means making sure the children feel safe, loved, supported, and comfortable being themselves, but it also means making life a little easier for their parents. I want parents to feel confident that their children are genuinely cared for and that they have someone dependable who notices what needs to be done, communicates well, and is willing to help.

My experience with special needs children...

One of my favorite parts of nannying is getting to watch children grow and seeing their confidence build as they learn new things. One of the kids I cared for was really struggling with his times tables and felt like they were impossible. We started spending a little time on them every day, working through them together until eventually he had mastered all of them. Watching something go from “I can’t do this” to something he thought was easy was such a rewarding moment for both of us. Those are the moments I love most, getting to be part of their little world, watching them grow, and helping them realize just how capable they are.
