More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am the oldest of three siblings, so I have been taking care of children since I was 13. I also volunteered and worked at a nursery at my local church for nearly two years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some fun indoor activities include arts and crafts, reading books, coloring, painting, and Legos. Outdoor activities include chalk and playing at a playground.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Patience is perhaps one of the most important skills for nannies. As a nanny, you will spend hours and hours with children so you will need to be able to understand their emotions and behaviors without losing your temper or becoming outwardly irritated. I also believe it is critical to establish a safe and enjoyable relationship with the nanny so that the child feels at ease at all times.
My experience with special needs children...
My six-year-old best friend has a younger sister who has Down syndrome. And whenever we visit her, we enjoy playing tag or jumping on the trampoline. It's satisfying merely to see her face light up with delight. For two years at high school, I was also a member of a Special Olympics club, where athletic students were paired with special education students. We would compete in competitions, eat lunch, or attend activities/events outside of school. One of my fondest recollections from these events was the senior pool party for the end-of-the-year seniors, where we just hung around and played in the pool and had a water gunfight. It was a bittersweet moment because it was my last year.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I watched a two-year-old toddler, and she likes pronouncing the word go and shaking her head. And for some reason, she moved her head a lot, so I mimicked her movements this time. I have short, curly hair that moves a lot, so when she saw me shaking my head like her, she had the largest smile on her face I've ever seen her have, and she started chuckling, which made me smile. And that was such a cute moment that now, every time she shakes her head, I shake my head, and she laughs.

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in San Antonio, TX: Cherienne B.
Hi My name is Cherienne. I am 33 years old, my experience for 15 years is mostly in food hospitality/customer service. I love children & interested in babysitting to possibly prepare for my own one day. I am currently in school for Theology applying the knowledge to deal greatly with people. The mixture of my customer service experience plus my study in theology has improved my integrity as a individual. I am grateful for this transition and new interest to see how this experience could impact my life for the better. I love children and have always heard the same from others. I believe that we would enjoy each others time as well as I am excited to share my inner child with them through fun activities like parks, picnics or even fun creative days in the living room like coloring and possibly playing board games. I look forward to hearing from potential candidates and introducing myself to the family. Thank you for checking my profile and Happy Sitting-Search! ☺️

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in San Antonio, TX: Gertrude C.
Hello, my name is Gertrude, I would love the opportunity to come alongside and assist your family's needs as a nanny. I have 15+ years of experience working with children ages 3 months to 15 years.
Over the years I witnessed how important child care is for families that are working hard at balancing life and ensuring that their children are surrounded by nurturers that can care for their family in a responsible caring way.
I am currently looking for a part time occasional weekday position. I love going outside and being active with the child(ren), to encourage reading & various activities that can stimulate children's mental and social development.
I enjoy cooking, biking, softball, museums, and reading; all of which I hope to share these activities with your children.
I was an after-school program coordinator & have experience with homework help and served as a mentor. Lastly, I am adult and infant CPR certified, have a driver's license & a clean record.
