Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been babysitting and nannying since I was 13, and I was a camp counselor for three years where I cared for ten to twenty kids from seven to nine years old for the summer. I also was a teacher’s aid for three years where I cared for ten to fifteen kids aged five to ten. Lastly, I have experience working in a preschool with 20 3-5 year olds.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing games with kids- any games really! Board games, outdoor games like tag or hide and seek. I love to sing interactive songs with them, and dance! I also love teaching kids how to cook and bake!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part about being a nanny, besides caring for them and keeping them safe of course, is creating meaningful experiences and memories that kids will look back on fondly when they’re older. Additionally, fostering an environment where a child feels safe and comfortable with me is extremely important to me. I want them to really enjoy their time spent with me, and I want the time that I spend with them to be valuable and enjoyable for the children.

I have nannied a child with ADHD and I also worked with children with autism when I was a preschool teacher.

I used to work at a summer camp as a counselor, and I had this one camper who I developed a really special bond with. Every single day when I would arrive to camp she would run and hug me, and it was always such a wholesome moment!
