Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a childcare center as a float teacher for a summer in college. Most days I would spend time in each the infant, toddler and pre-k rooms. Other times I would be covering all day in one classroom if teachers were absent!
I also spent some time working at my elementary school in the first grade classroom. I was able to work 1:1 with a student with autism. Our primary focus was encouraging communication, as he was nonverbal so we used a combination of his PECS book and I was able to use my undergraduate studies in ASL to offer another route for communication.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing outdoors, music and singing, reading, and playing pretend. I like to see the interests children already have and help them build on those. My nephew really loves songs and dance, so a lot of our time is spent singing nursery songs and adding in our own movements to go along with them.
