Hi! My names Kenzie and between siblings, cousins, and odd jobs, I’ve had about 9 years now of childcare experience. I have two years of college credits and am looking to return in the future and pursue a career as an elementary school teacher! I’m looking to gain more experience in full-time childcare while saving up in preparation for a move in August. I love art, music, reading, and writing- honestly anything to do with creativity and learning. I lived in Germany for three years, so I am well versed in city life and public transportation. I also can speak a bit of German! It’s my goal to become fluent. I am located in Old Saybrook, CT, and can very easily take the MTA for an interview/meeting.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I student taught in a third grade classroom when I was 17! My highschool had an Education (teaching) program that I participated in, allowing me to partake in this experience. Beyond my regular student teaching position, I also occasionally taught lessons in classrooms K-3.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Yard games, coloring with chalk, imaginative play, getting children outside, science experiments, card/board games, etc.. I prefer to keep the kids off screens and keep their minds engaged.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have any previous experience with special needs children, but I would love the opportunity to work with and provide care to any child in need.
