A little bit about me

I’m 25, originally from California but I’ve been living in Utah for about 4 years now! I’m a hairstylist (working Mondays & Tuesdays, which is why I’m only available Wednesday-Friday to work).
I love all things having to do with my creative brain. Cooking, baking, hair (obviously) and slowly getting into painting. I also love to travel & I LOVE kids. I’ve been a nanny for the two cutest little girls for the past 2 years and it’s been so fun. I find so much fulfillment in being a nanny & finding activities to do with them to help them to grow!!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a co-teacher in a kindergarten class in Carlsbad. We played, painted, read books, developed motor and social skills, etc. It was so fun. My most recent experience has been nannying for my cute nanny fam for the past 2 years. They’re like my family now - I started when the youngest was 6 months and the oldest was 2.5 years. I was with those girls through a lot of developmental stages of their lives. Crawling, walking, talking, reading, going to preschool, starting sports - it was so fulfilling and those are the experiences I hope to be able to have with my new nanny family too.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Painting, baking, cooking, dress-up, reading books, swimming, going to the park or the splash pad, princesses, dance parties, Thanksgiving point, bike rides, walks, children’s discovery museum, and so much more! I love to get out of the house a lot with the kids I nanny because I feel like it gives them good learning and socialization experiences. It gives them a breath of fresh air when they’re getting rowdy from being cooped up in the house! I feel like getting out of the house, even if only for a half hour or so, usually did a lot of good for the girls I was watching.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is making sure the kids feel loved and seen. Children need to feel loved, needed, appreciated and heard - it's crucial to their emotional well-being at their ages!! I believe strongly in this!!

My experience with special needs children...

My first nanny job was for a family that had a 7 year old autistic son. He is the sweetest child I have ever met and has such a creative mind. I learned so much about him during that time and really managed to gain his trust. We did so many things together and he made me laugh so much - not to mention he taught me so much about empathy, patience and seeing the world in a new way
