More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience working with children of all ages with and without disabilities. I have worked in camp, school, and home settings. My student teaching was in a fourth-grade classroom. I am CPR/first aid certified. I am incredibly passionate about working with children and creating an enriching and fun experience where the children can grow and become the best versions of themselves. I have experience planning out lessons, games, meals, and fun educational experiences for many children. Any time I work with children, I always prioritize adjusting my activities to that specific child's needs and wants. I get to know who they are as a person, what they like to do, what they are passionate about, and their personality.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being creative with children. Whether this is doing arts and crafts, or doing creative play inside or outside. I also love going on adventures, going swimming, and exploring Vermont. I love creating engaging activities for kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is getting to know the kids. When you know the kids you are better able to take care of them. I love catering what I do to the kid's interests, needs, and wants.
My experience with special needs children...
I am currently getting my masters in special education. I have worked with many people of all ages with disabilities. I worked as a summer nanny for a child with downsyndrome. I have worked with children with a variety of different disabilities in classroom, home and camp settings.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite day nannying was when I took the kid I was nannying on this big adventure. We went to the library, we went swimming, went on a small hike and then we went and took a tour of the ben and jerry's factory and ended our day with icecream!

Babysitter Available in Burlington, VT: Emmy D.
Hi! I’m Emmy and I am a student studying psychology and English at UVM with a strong interest in working with children! I’ve spent time volunteering with pediatric cancer patients and their families, as well as tutoring kids and helping teach dance classes, so I’m very comfortable working with children in different settings and age groups.
I’m patient, reliable, and love creating a positive, supportive environment, whether that’s helping with homework, reading together, doing crafts, or just keeping kids engaged and having fun. I’m especially interested in child development, so I really value being attentive and understanding each child’s individual needs and adapting to them.
I also love cats and dogs, so I would be very happy to help in a pet-having household!
