A little bit about me

I love children!!! I have two younger sisters that were basically my baby-alive dolls… until they were too heavy for me to hold lol. I’ve babysat my younger cousins, family friends’ kids, random people off of Facebook’s kids, and I’ve volunteered at numerous camps/programs where I was responsible for children. I don’t mind changing diapers and I don’t mind cleaning up a mess. I’m in college, if you’re interested in hiring me as a nanny I can go into detail about my schedule, but it’s not too crowded. I live on campus and I have my own car, so transportation is not an issue. Again, kids are my favorite and as a socially anxious, broke college student, nannying seems to be the best option to stay happy and make some extra money!

I’ve been a volunteer for service camps and church camps with children. I’ve babysat for countless families. I have siblings younger than me by 4 and 10 years.

Letting the child get comfortable with you and not forcing them to speak and interact until they feel like they want to. And establishing an authoritative role rather than a friend one so the child knows you’re not just there to goof around.

I used to bring my little sister with me to this young girl’s house because they would swim together, and I went one day without my sister and when I walked inside she said, “Hey, where’s your kid?”
Mind you, I’m 18 and the furthest thing from having my own kid anytime soon
- my favorite saying is “I love babysitting because I get to cure my baby fever and then give it back at the end of the day”
But seriously, when the kids miss me or get upset when I leave, I feel like I’ve make my connection with them strong and they trust me!
