A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Maddy I first discovered my love of working with children when I began teaching youth classes at a local circus (yes, circus!) in my hometown, St. Paul, Minnesota, and the rest was history!

I hold a Bachelors in Communications from Northwestern University, where I studied psychology and theatre. I have been working in a variety of settings with children ages 3 months to 18 years old now for over 10 years, ranging from teaching in classrooms to leading theatre classes for kids with developmental differences. I care deeply about connecting with every child I work with, and am passionate about helping kids of all ages tap into their creativity and explore their world!

I've loved caring for kids in many settings! I have 12 years of experience as a circus/theatre teacher, 3 years as a preschool/infant teacher, and 10 years as a babysitter/nanny.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm passionate about child-lead play, along with helping kids explore their interests and tap into their creativity! I'm also happy to help school-aged children as a tutor.

My experience with special needs children...

I've worked with children with developmental differences as both a teacher and babysitter! As a teacher I've taught circus and theatre classes for students with autism, epilepsy, and other developmental and physical differences. Additionally I've been a one-on-one aide in preschools and babysitter for children with disabilities. I'm passionate about inclusion and meeting every child where they're at.
