More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve been babysitting since I was 14 in my small Oregon hometown of Baker City, and caring for kids has always been something I genuinely enjoy. Over the years, I’ve babysat for a variety of families and children of different ages, which has taught me how to be flexible and adjust to each child’s personality, needs, and routine. I’m comfortable keeping kids entertained, helping with homework, preparing meals and snacks, getting them ready for bed, and making sure they have a fun and safe time while their parents are away.
I’ve also gained experience working with children through volunteering and coaching YMCA basketball. I really enjoy being someone kids feel comfortable around and love finding ways to make ordinary days fun, whether that’s playing outside, doing crafts, going on little adventures, or simply hanging out. Babysitting has taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and being someone a family can trust. I’m happy to provide references from families I’ve babysat for!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing anything that gets kids being creative, curious, and having fun! I especially love doing crafts, drawing, coloring, baking, reading books, playing outside, going on little adventures, and coming up with games together. One of my biggest priorities is keeping kids engaged without relying on screens. I think some of the best childhood memories come from simple things like building a fort, making a ridiculous craft, reading a favorite book for the hundredth time, playing outside until it gets dark, or turning an ordinary afternoon into an adventure. I love getting to know each child’s interests and finding activities that make them excited to participate. I’m always happy to get a little silly and fully commit to whatever game or imaginary world they’ve come up with!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is making a child feel safe, loved, and understood. I want to be someone who genuinely cares about the little person in front of me—not just someone who is there to watch them. I think childhood is such a special time, and the people around you can have a bigger impact than they realize.
Nannying matters to me because I’ve experienced firsthand how meaningful that relationship can be. I want to give another child the same patience, encouragement, attention, and joy that I’ve been lucky enough to give to the little girl I’ve babysat throughout high school. I want to be someone they look forward to seeing, someone who will get excited about their little accomplishments, read the same book for the hundredth time, play outside with them, and make them feel like they matter. To me, being a nanny is about being a small but meaningful part of a child’s life, and that is something I genuinely care about.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs through my time as a TA in a special education classroom. This experience taught me a lot about patience, understanding, and how important it is to meet each child where they are. I really enjoyed getting to know the students and helping them feel supported and included. While I am comfortable working with children with some special needs, I also want to be honest that my experience is limited to certain levels of care. I would want to learn more about a child’s individual needs before committing to a position so I can make sure I am fully capable of providing the care and attention they deserve. I’m always willing to communicate openly with parents and learn what works best for their child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nannying experience has been babysitting a little girl throughout high school who became so much more than a child I was caring for—she became one of the most important little people in my life. I love that girl with my whole heart. I got to watch her grow, read countless books, make crafts, play silly games, and be there for so many of her little moments.
She truly became my saving grace during high school. She brought out the most nurturing, patient, silly, and joyful parts of me, and I owe so much of who I am today to her. She taught me how meaningful it is to simply show up for a child and make them feel safe, loved, and understood. She is a huge reason I love nannying so much—I want to genuinely care about the children I work with and become someone they know they can count on.
