Since I was a little girl, I've wanted to work with children. I have a special passion for helping youth with special needs. I have extensive experience providing quality care in professional, school and home settings. A senior at Wayne State University, I will graduate in May 2022 with a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education with a concentration in cognitive impairment. I love to engage children with crafts, outdoors activities, games of all types, outings, reading and cooking. I am comfortable supporting children with homework and other school-related tasks. As an ABA-certified behavior technician, I have worked with youth with autism in a professional setting, where I worked 1:1 to teach life skills and implement behavior plans. I have served as a nanny for two families, including a family with a child with autism and a family with two children whose father is a high school principal.
