Helping to raise healthy, happy, well rounded kids in a way that prepares them live good lives as adults. This means addressing kids as individuals and helping them learn in the ways they understand best. The adults in children's lives are their personal guides to the world. It is up to us to explain life's lessons, protect kids from harm, and support their journey.
My experience with special needs children...
I helped out as a peer buddy in school and helped in the disabled class but I was never informed about specific disabilities and it felt rude to ask.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Across all my years of childcare choosing a favorite moment is truly impossible. Whether its making eachother laugh so hard we end up in a pile on the ground or listening to the adorable thoughts of a baby that's grown into a "big kid" ; working with kids has been the biggest blessing in my life for many years. When looking back at all the incredible moments and milestones I've witnessed I like to envision them like a sky full of stars. Each moment is unique but together they create something breathtaking, a beautiful life well lived.
