Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a cheerleader for 16 years, with that came a lot of volunteer work. I got to work with different teams and help along side head coaches teaching young cheerleaders! I also have experience running camps with various of ages from kinder to high school.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I honestly play by the kids rule book, as long as it’s safe and within parents rules I’m down! Hide seek? Love it! You feel like watching a movie? I’ll make the popcorn! Seriously I want your child to have a great time, so as long as the child(ern) are happy and safe, I’m happy!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The number one important thing is always and forever safety. I will always follow parents rules and hope they will encourage the kids to follow mine as well. I don’t have many, we will not do anything mom or dad would say no to. We will not use inappropriate language or inappropriate behavior towards one another. We will treat one another with kindness and respect. But the second most important in my opinion is making everyone is having a good time!
My experience with special needs children...
I have never had experience alone with a child with special needs. With that I have very little knowledge or experience because of cheer. There are certain programs I was able to work alongside, but I was never alone. It would have to be a case by case situation.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think my favorite part is when I get a message from the family letting me know what a great time their kids truly had. It’s nice knowing that the kids you watch enjoy your company. Even though it’s a paid job I ensure that the kids enjoy their time regardless if I’m being paid or not.
