A little bit about me

Hi! I am a high school senior graduating in June, and I will be attending UC Davis for undergraduate school beginning in September. I love working with children; I was a Counselor-in-Training at a summer camp from the ages of 12–15, was then promoted to a counselor, and I still work there as a lead counselor. Additionally, I volunteer at the Encino Community Center, providing childcare for youth ages 7–13. I have experience as a mentor for 30 middle school children, where I created lesson plans, taught fun lessons, tutored, and provided childcare. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I have a driver’s license and a car. I take an optimistic and emotionally conscious approach when working with children. Some of my hobbies are baking, cooking, and singing. I am looking forward to working as a nanny/babysitter this summer!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing different art projects with children and playing a board game, I have worked/ volunteered at an art camp for 6 years, so I know plenty of fun crafts and creative games. I also love swimming with children, I was on a swim team and have taught several children how to swim.

The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring that the children and I have a positive relationship where they are comfortable expressing their emotions to me and talking with me about anything going in their life where they may need additional support.

I have worked several children with various mental health issues and neurodivergence, I have significant experience with children who have ADHD and Anxiety. I also am proficient in American Sign Language and have worked with several Deaf children.
