A little bit about me

My name is Madison; I am 20 years old and live in the Oakwood area. Currently looking for a full-time nanny position anywhere within 30 minutes of the area. Very flexible schedule and reliable transportation. I am CPR/CLS certified and have roughly 5 years of experience with babysitting/nannying as well as daycare and camp counselor experience with a range of age groups from infant to middle school. I graduated from Mill Creek in 2020 and have attended some college as a Rad Tech major but am not currently enrolled as of May 2022 and am hoping to transition to nannying full-time for the foreseeable future. I would love to find a family to grow with and provide long-term care! I am willing to undergo any background checks or provide refernces if neccesary! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered as a camp counselor the summer of 2017 and worked with ages 5 to 13. I was employed by Sunbrooke Academy in Kennesaw, GA the summer of 2021. I have also done long-term nannying for family members children ages infant to 10. From November 2021 to May 2022 I worked as a Radiology Tech Aide at NGHS Braselton hospital and worked with young children on a daily basis from the Emergency Department. I am CPR/CLS certified.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a big fan of getting kids outdoors! I love anything where we can get out of the house and go explore, including short hikes, bike rides, sports, outdoor art (painting, chalk, etc), and swimming. I am an active individual and encourage the kids to enjoy excercise! I find it helps them stay engaged during the day and more managable when it is time to come inside and relax. Come bad weather or nightime I do think educational screentime is valuable as well as reading age-appropriate books. I also enjoy letting kids be involved in their own chores and routines throughout the day such as at mealtimes, bathtime, and bedtime; I value teaching children how to take pride in their own autonomy and learn to take care of themselves at an age-appropriate level in ways like dressing themselves, cleaning up after themselves, brushing their own teeth, making their own bed, or really anything that they can do to encourage responsibility and accountability from a young age ina healthy way!

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience with young boys with ADHD. They can take an extra level of engagement, attention, and care. Maintaining boundaries and discipline takes a level temperament and patient heart.
