I have been a dependable private sitter for families since I have been of working age. I also have four years of summer art camp counseling with children aged 5-13. I am a music major, and am considering teaching certification to work in public and private schools in arts education.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing lots of outside time if possible, taking in the environment and having outside play time. I am skilled at leading music activities and even teaching lessons. It is enjoyable to do any hands on arts and crafts, things that get the mind working with the hands creatively. On a rainy day, I would enjoy teaching sound listening exercises and yoga and meditation for kids. I love to read to and with children on a variety of topics. I also love to do light healthy "cooking" practice with kids, and make interesting snacks and meals with their help.

The most important part of being a nanny to me is being someone that the kids can count on in any situation. I hope to be a positive influence in the child's life, someone who encourages them and helps them see their full potential. My actions should make them always feel as someone is on their side.
