Hello, my name is Madison Story. I go to the University of Utah where I am graduating in May with my degree in elementary education. I have been babysitting/nanning for 10 years.
With the experience I have gained nannying alongside the techniques and tools I have learned in the pursuit of my future career I feel confident to properly care for any child and their needs. I swam division 1 at the University of Utah where I competed on all conference teams and had the opportunity to serve as a team captain. Balancing my duties on the team with my education was difficult but allowed me to tone in on my time management and communication. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Attending the University Of Utah for my elementary education degree I was able to access and learn a bunch of tools and resources for children of all ages. I completed my student teaching this past school year and have put in a bunch more practicum hours in many different schools and many different grades throughout the years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I grew up in a real town in Alaska which allowed me to develop a great love for the outdoors as well as a strong influence in art and creative activities. I hope to be able to do outdoors activities, art/creative activities, and active activities with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is nurturing a child and providing an environment for them to succeed and thrive. I think that all children should have access to the kind of care that makes them feel safe and loved, and I strive to provide that with my care.

My experience with special needs children...

I have coached swim lessons since I was 12 and from that point on, I have found a specialty in teaching children that need extra support and specific care. Alongside that experience, I have also taken many special education classes where I have learned specific tools and resources to help guide children with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments that I have experienced while nanny is pretty simple. Walking in the door and having children run up to you and be excited that you’re there is really special to me because I value creating a safe and fun environment. It fills my heart to see that the children know that and associate me with that kind of environment.
