A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Mae McGinnis and I’m looking for some part time work here in Savannah! I just moved here for my freshman year at Savannah College of Art and Design from Gainesville, Florida. I love working with children and have gained much experience working in K-5 over the past 5 years. My freshman year of High School, I started working at the United Church of Gainesville as a childcare aid for all ages. My junior year, I was promoted to the K-1 Sunday school teacher and kept this position up until I moved for college. I got my CPR certification and training through the church. I continued working with children outside of my childcare position in babysitting and even tutoring K-3rd grade children in all subjects. Moving away from home was hard enough…but leaving my kiddos behind who I’ve formed such strong relationships with was even harder which is why I’m looking to continue my work, and form new relationships here in Savannah. :)
