Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
When I was 13 I worked as a junior counselor for 3-5 year olds alongside another counselor. This was a loose-curriculum play environment. I like to accredit this as my first experience to help me decide that I did want to go into Early Childhood Education. Also, before Covid-19 I volunteered at The Oak Park and River Forest Day Nursery with the 2's in a class of about 7-10 alongside their two teachers. In addition, during the ECE course I was enrolled in my senior year of high school 2 days out of the week a group made up of me and my fellow classmates spent time with the "huskie pups" which is a daycare with 2 year olds and pre-school aged children.
