I love doing arts and crafts with children, my current kids and I make sun catchers quite often. Going to different parks to find the best one, playing sports outside, building lego sets, etc.

Being able to have fun with the kids and connect with them, all while completing daily tasks like homework, housekeeping, meal prep, etc.
My experience with special needs children...
My mom works with special needs children so I've had some interaction. During the summers I would help during "field trips", but it was simple tasks like carrying extra bags or pushing their wheelchairs and just spending time with the kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I just recently had my birthday and my kids were more excited about it than I was and it was very heartwarming. Over the summer their is a fair by my house and I had asked for the boys to hang out with me on the weekend even though I don't usually work them. When their father dropped them off the look of excitement on their faces made everything I do with/for them - worth it :)
