Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked with 5+ different families, caring for their children as young as 7 months old up to 15 years old. While my work with these families has been on an "as needed" basis, I've continued to work with each family consistently over the last three years.
In addition to child care, I have also tutored grade school and high school math.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I know that every child is different and understand that they each enjoy doing different activities, especially across different age groups so I find pleasure in all sorts of different activities. If I had to zero in on a few, I would say that I enjoy playing board games and reading books. I also really enjoy pool time with kids when the weather permits and the opportunity is available.

The most important part about being a Nanny is knowing that parents trust me with their kids, but also knowing that the kids are happy that it's me caring for them when their parents are away.
My experience with special needs children...
While I have had some experience with special needs children, I would not feel comfortable labeling myself as any sort of "expert" since I have no sort of formal training. I do have a close family member with Autism, so I do have a little familiarity with some traits and behaviors. I have cared for children with severe ADD/ADHD and high-functioning autism. In both of these cases, my personal experience with my family member and patience was enough for me to provide for their needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I honestly have so many that I don't think I could pick one. Kids make me smile and laugh with the things they do and say. One of the children I care for will be turning two this summer. I've been caring for him since he was only 7 months old so I'd say that most of my favorite moments have been watching him grow over the last year.
