More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to direct childcare, I have experience serving with children through my church, where I assist with youth activities, supervision, and creating a positive, supportive environment. This has strengthened my ability to lead with patience, responsibility, and compassion while working with children in group settings. I am comfortable following structure, supporting different personalities, and helping children feel safe, included, and encouraged.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments working with kids happened during a week when I had a presentation coming up. I mentioned it casually, not thinking much of it, and somehow my little guy took it very seriously. From that moment on, he decided that if I had to dress professional, then so did he.
Every single morning that week he demanded to wear his “suit,” which to him meant a button up shirt and dress pants. Pajamas were suddenly unacceptable. Sweatpants were for people without important meetings. He would stand there, hands on his hips, inspecting his outfit like a tiny CEO, asking me if he looked “presentable.” If I suggested something more comfortable, he’d look at me like I was trying to sabotage his career.
