A little bit about me

I am a 20 year old college student at Oakland University looking into the idea of being a nanny part-time. I grew up around younger kids and have a natural bend toward care giving. I've worked primarily in senior care and assistant work before. I don't have my CPR/First Aid certification yet nor do I have any technical babysitting experiences. I'm open to taking classes on childcare if this is something I want to pursue. Rest assured, I may not be the most fun caretaker, but I'm the one who will get things done. Trust that I am responsible and always work to the best of my ability even while adapting to new environments. In the habit of wearing masks to prevent catching/spreading illness. No car or drivers license yet. I can arrange my own transportation but being picked up directly would be helpful. Can cook, clean, care for older adults and pets. I am on the autistic spectrum myself so I consider myself to have a unique ability to connect with and understand autistic kids. I believe in adapting to the child and learning how to care for them in a way that works for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Seeing younger kids learn a new skill or hit a developmental milestone. Teaching/learning moments are my favorite. Getting to cuddle is a plus too (separate blankets always.)
