Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing at a park, running around with kids, activities such as throwing balls, frisbee, bubbles, whatever the kids like. Art projects, playdoh, getting creative with Lego’s, puppets, singing with or to them, letting the kids be creative.
Making food, meal time enjoyable, allowing them to join in, to stir if they want to, set the table.
Lots of positive talking and attention, during this whole time.
Books, encouragement for reading.
Encouraging to color or paint.
Enjoy rocking them, comforting them and helping to soothe them if they’re having a hard time.

The most important part about being a nanny...
In childcare, for me, the most important part is that the kids are cared for, safe and comfortable with me.
It’s a truly great feeling when kids seem to begin to bond and warm up to me, to ask me for help in getting them a drink or whatever, maybe to read to them, play with their favorite toys.
To me, that means they are beginning to have some trust building in me.
I believe it’s also extremely important as a nanny to reassure parents, to help parents be able to relax as much as possible and to know that their kids, that they’ve entrusted to me, are going to be well taken care of and safe.

My experience with special needs children...
Children at YMCA sometimes had ADHD.

Favorite childcare moment-Singing fun kid songs in a small group with my tiny group in my small home daycare. They were all so little and trying to say the words just right and of course, not getting them down. Very sweet. Happy memories.

Live-In Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in La Center, WA: Adrionna M.
Hello! My name is Adrionna McClellan and I’m a Senior at Battle Ground High School. I’ve been a varsity cheerleader for the past four years, competition dancer, a part of ASB and assistant softball coach, so I absolutely LOVE kids and have always found a soft spot into my heart for children. As I’m graduating this June I’m trying to live it to the fullest. I will be moving out at the beginning for August to WSU in Pullman, so taking on a job as a nanny will allow me to get money for college and move into my dorm.
