A little bit about me

My name is Margaret, and I am a high energy, caring, and organized nursing student looking for a summer job. I'm CPR, first aid, and CNA certified. In previous summers I have been a lifeguard (4 years), taught private and public swimming lessons (4 years), helped with my church's Vacation Bible School (6 years), and worked as a camp counselor all of last summer.

I love kids of all ages! I can get along with just about anyone considering my experience with volunteering at special needs camps, assisting my mom in teaching preschool, and teaching summer campers how to build rockets (not full-sized of course). I sincerely enjoy playing alongside kids and watching them learn and grow, so it would be a privilege to do just that this summer.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In high school, I was a lifeguard and frequently babysat for a family with two kids. I also taught music and helped with games at my church's Vacation Bible School every summer.

I was a camp counselor last summer and was put in charge of an average of 10 kids at a time.

I also frequently volunteer at events or camps for people with special needs of all ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love making up games inside and outside of the house. I'm very active myself, so I love just about anything that has to do with running around.

I also enjoy calmer activities like arts, crafts, and music. Music is one of my hobbies. I play the piano and like to make up silly songs with kids.

Having taught swimming lessons for 4 years, I love both swimming and teaching kids how to swim.

My experience with special needs children...

I have enjoyed volunteering at multiple-day camps for people of all ages who have special needs. I was a one-on-one buddy for a 13-year old girl with special needs for a 6-day camp.
