More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 7 years of experience working with children in different settings. In addition to babysitting, I have worked as a tutor and mentor, helping children with homework and academic support in subjects such as English, Spanish, math, and science.
I have also volunteered in programs supporting children where I helped coordinate educational activities and provided academic guidance to help improve their school performance and motivation.
Additionally, I have experience working closely with children through mentoring and educational support roles, and I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, which has given me knowledge about child development, learning stages, and age-appropriate activities.
Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in patience, communication, creativity, and creating safe, engaging environments where children can learn and feel supported.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For indoor activities, I enjoy reading stories, arts and crafts, creative play, puzzles, building games, and educational activities that support learning and imagination. I also like helping with homework or doing simple learning games that make studying fun.
For outdoor activities, I enjoy going to the park, playing active games, exploring nature, riding bikes or scooters, and organizing small adventures that allow children to stay active and curious about the world around them.
I always try to adapt activities to the child’s age, personality, and interests, so they feel engaged, happy, and supported while learning through play.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel supported and valued. When children feel secure and understood, they are more confident to explore, learn, and express themselves.
I also believe it’s important to build a strong relationship with both the children and the parents, based on communication, reliability, and respect. A nanny plays an important role not only in caring for children, but also in supporting their emotional, social, and intellectual development through everyday moments, play, and learning.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with different special needs, including children with autism, ADHD/hyperactivity, and children who use wheelchairs.
Through these experiences, I have learned the importance of patience, empathy, and adapting activities and communication styles to meet each child’s individual needs. I focus on creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, understood, and encouraged.
I am attentive to routines, sensory needs, and positive reinforcement strategies, and I always try to ensure that every child feels included, respected, and supported while they learn, play, and develop their confidence.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was with a little girl I was caring for who loved playing “teacher.” One day she made me sit at a tiny table, handed me a crayon, and very seriously started “teaching” me the alphabet. Every time I made a “mistake,” she would say, “It’s okay, learning takes practice!” exactly the same thing I used to tell her when we practiced reading.
It was such a funny and sweet moment because I realized she had been listening to everything and was repeating it with so much confidence. Seeing how children absorb kindness and encouragement and then give it back is something I will always remember.
