More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
One of the sweetest experiences I’ve had was with a 5-year-old boy who was very shy and didn’t talk much at first. His parents told me he had a hard time trusting new people, so I started with calm games and creative activities like drawing, puzzles, and reading stories together.
After a few days, he began coming to me on his own to play, and one day he said, “You’re my favorite friend.” That was such a special moment for me because I felt I had built a real connection with him. From that day on, he didn’t want me to leave when my shift ended, and he would always hug me when I arrived.
That experience taught me that with patience, love, and attention, kids open up and trust. It reminded me how much I love this job and how important it is to be fully present with your heart.

My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had the opportunity to care for children with special needs, and it’s been an experience that taught me patience, empathy, and the power of connection. I understand that every child is unique, and I always take the time to learn their specific routines, triggers, and the communication styles that work best for them.
Whether it’s helping with sensory activities, practicing speech through play, or simply offering a calm and reassuring presence, I aim to create a safe and loving space where they can feel confident and supported.
I approach each moment with flexibility, kindness, and full attention—celebrating small wins and always prioritizing the child’s comfort and joy.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was one afternoon when we were playing in the yard and it suddenly started to rain. Instead of running inside, the kids looked at me and said, “Can we stay? This is fun!” So there we were—laughing, running in the rain, jumping in puddles… It was such a simple but joyful moment.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Sandy Springs, GA: Katelyn C.
Greetings. My name is Katelyn Croskey. I’m a married mom of 6, ages [phone number hidden] and 15. I’ve been in the childcare field for 13 years working in accredited childcare facilities as well as a nanny. I’ve cared for children outside of my own from age infancy to 5 years old. The thing I love most about caring for children is being apart of those early developmental stages and watching them grow. As well as building a lasting bond with not only the child but their parent or parents as well. This is just a short summary of who I am. I would love to get to know each and every one of you on here further. Thank you.
