More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

One of my favorite activities to do with kids is crafting. I love watching their creativity blossom as they paint, cut, and glue different materials together. It's amazing how they can transform simple objects into colorful works of art that reflect their personalities.

Another favorite is playing outdoors. Whether we’re at the park, going on a treasure hunt, or simply running around and playing ball, I enjoy the energy and joy that children bring to these moments. Their laughter and enthusiasm make every outing special.
I also love reading stories with them. Through stories, we can explore new worlds and learn valuable lessons. I enjoy seeing their reactions as they listen, often encouraging them to participate by asking questions or imagining alternative endings.

Additionally, I take joy in teaching them Spanish and various educational topics. We often learn about animal sounds, colors, and other fun concepts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is creating a safe and loving environment for the children. It is essential that they feel protected and supported, as this allows them to explore, learn, and grow in a healthy way. Being a trusted figure in their lives means being present not just physically, but also emotionally.

Additionally, it’s crucial to foster their social and emotional development by providing them with tools to express their feelings and learn how to interact with others. By establishing a trusting relationship, I help them build self-esteem and problem-solving skills. In summary, being a nanny is not just about taking care of children; it’s about being a guide and support on their journey towards growth and happiness.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my most memorable experiences as a nanny was taking care of a lively 2-year-old named Alex. One sunny day, I decided to take him to the zoo, and his excitement was infectious from the moment we arrived. As we wandered around, his eyes lit up with joy at every animal we saw. When we reached the section with the cows, Mateo pointed at one and exclaimed, "Look, it’s the 'vaca loca!'" I smiled, remembering that in Spanish, we often refer to cows as "vaca loca" because of a popular children's song about a crazy cow that dances and sings. Alex giggled and started mimicking the dance moves from the song, making me laugh along with him. In that moment, I realized how much joy and innocence children bring into our lives. It was a simple yet magical day, filled with laughter and a deeper connection as I watched him enjoy the world around him through his playful imagination.
