A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Maria but I prefer to be called M, and I am an early childhood education student taking time off to look for work! I have experience working with children in the age range of 0-13. Outside of working with children of various ages, I have also worked with kids with various backgrounds, ability levels, etc. I speak beginner-level Spanish and know a few Arabic and Mandarin words! I love art and music, and sharing these two passions with children is one of the greatest joys of my life. I look forward to all the new opportunities Nanny Lane will bring!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked with children as a private babysitter/nanny for nine years. Also, I have spent time student teaching within my limited early childhood education schooling at Kent State. Finally, I spent a little under a year working at Lois Johnson Daycare Services in Pittsburgh, PA.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

There are so many activities that I love to do with children in and outdoors but my largest priority is allowing play to be child-led! The early childhood education coursework I have taken was Reggio-based, and Reggio famously shone a light on concepts like the capable child and the 100 languages of children. I deeply believe children to be innately kind intelligent beings, and I think it is important to allow their interests and curiosities to guide the work of their development. I prioritize giving them space to explore their environment in and outdoors, and create activities based on whatever each child is naturally drawn to!

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my personal opinion, the most important part of being a nanny is helping children feel safe, loved, and confident, as they lay the foundation they will stand upon for the rest of their lives. It is deeply important to me that each child I work with feels respected, and knows our time together will be time in which they are safe to experience the joy and magic of childhood.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children on the spectrum with a variety of support needs. I have worked with non-verbal autistic children as well! Outside of folks on the spectrum, as mentioned in my bio I have experience caring for kids with varying ability levels. I have worked with children with Down Syndrome, other chromosomal abnormalities, Spina Bifida, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It is very difficult to choose just one, as I have so many over nine years of experience! What sticks out in my mind, particularly at the moment, is when I got to witness the ten-month-old child I most recently worked with (the family moved to California) take his first steps. His parents and I were outside in the backyard with him and he walked from me to his mother for the very first time! It was such a beautiful joy-filled experience, and it was a privilege to be a part of such a major milestone in development.

Danika F. - Seeking Work in Edmonton

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Edmonton, AB: Danika F.

Hi I’m Danika! I’m a kind, caring, and dependable person with over 4 years of hands-on childcare experience. I’ve consistently cared for children from three different families, with ages ranging from 5 months to 12 years old. I love caring for children and enjoy the everyday responsibilities that come with creating a happy, comfortable, and well-kept home.
I have experience caring for children with different needs, including a child with Type 1 diabetes and a neurodivergent child. I’m responsible, attentive, and have been trusted to care for children while their parents are away, as well as house and dog sit for entire families while they travel.
I enjoy all the tasks that come with being apart, from preparing meals and keeping the house tidy to creating routines, keeping children engaged, and making sure everyone feels cared for. Becoming a stay-at-home mom is something I aspire to in the future, so nannying is something I find genuinely fulfilling and meaningful.

Hi! I’m Taylor, I’m 24 years old, and I absolutely love working with kids! I’m patient, dependable, energetic, and enjoy creating fun, positive experiences for children. 💕

I have 5 years of experience working at a children’s rock climbing gym, where I worked with kids of all ages through camps, activities, programs, and coaching. I’ve also played competitive soccer most of my life and have spent the past few years coaching, which has given me even more experience working with kids.

Outside of work, I love staying active, being outdoors, and spending time with family and pets. I have a pug and two younger brothers, so I’m very comfortable keeping up with kids’ energy! 😊

I’m available for full-time nannying and have my Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C certification. I don’t drive, but I do have reliable transportation to and from work.

I’d love the opportunity to become someone your family can rely on! 💗
