A little bit about me

My Names Mariah, I just finished my Associates Degree and I am looking to be a Nanny because I have younger siblings and I absolutely love kids! I am pretty flexible so that will not be a problem. I enjoy being outdoors and adventurous so in that aspect you don't have to worry about your child getting bored. I am an active body so chasing kids around and always being on the go won't bother me. I have been told I am dependable, hard-working, and very patient. My goal for being a nanny is to be open to new experiences and being part of a 'team.' I will not only be there to spend time with the kids and take care of them but to also help them grow and just to help them have fun and enjoy being a kid.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked for "Quest" one summer back in Kansas which is where we work with kids who have behavioral problems or kids that need something to do during the summer. Another experience I have with kids is my own family. I have younger brothers, youngest being age 5 and I babysat him since he was a newborn and I also have cousins I babysat, one in particular is my little cousin Jamie. She is autistic and considered non-verbal so I have experience there and the patience to go along with that. I have also worked in a School Health Clinic K-6 and also 7-12. Therefore, I have worked with kids day in and day out and me being on the younger side it is easy for me to connect with kids and really understand them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with special needs children. The most hands on I have been was when I babysat my cousin. Her name is Jamie and she is considered fully Autistic. She is non-verbal and a great kid. I have a soft spot for children who have any kind of disability. One thing I think I possess that is important when working with special needs kids is Patience. This is key because they sometimes may not understand or aren't as fast like most. I love working with special needs children because I don't mind the challenge and in the end seeing them with a smile on their face is truly such a blessing. I can 100% say that I have a soft spot for all children, especially children with special needs. They are a gift.
