Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love any activity you could think of. I grew up always playing outside and still, as an adult, love being outdoors. Whether it be going on bike rides or simply going to the park, being outdoors is a great way to expand the mind. I do also enjoy being inside. I love toys, especially all of the new kinds that this generation has to offer. I also really enjoy watching movies/ interactive shows.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with medical disabilities which included full time care and attention to changing tubes/feeding bags. I have also cared for a child with autism before. All of these children were amazing to look after and this would never stray me away from a family.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My most cherished nanny moment definitely has to be from this amazing little girl named Isa. She was definitely a shy child and never spoke a lot, but mostly used gestures and facial expressions to communicate. Her parents informed that she didn’t really talk to most people other than her immediate family. Yet this was never an issue. I knew she enjoyed our time together. The greatest moment for me was when she first felt comfortable enough to say “you know, when you go home I always miss you until you come back”. Never have I felt more loved by a child than in that moment. Definitely one of the greatest nanny moments by far.
