In the car recently, the that I girls nanny (Ages 8 and 10) realized that making memories with their parents was more important than being spoiled with things. They are at the age when they are noticing that their friends are getting everything they want and more. But they don't always get what they want. They had a great discussion and they both agreed that doing things with mom and dad was what they wanted. They want memories not things. My heart melted!
