Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at the boys and girls club while I also attended university. I was originally hired as a tutor, to assist the children with various homework assignments. But, I got assigned to a classroom and assisted the teacher with lesson plans for that day and other day to day activities. Myself and other students also served as substitutes when the teacher could not make it for the day.

There are a wide range of activities children can be introduced to and I mostly enjoy introducing them to something they may not do on a daily basis. I enjoy baking, painting, any kind of arts and crafts, playing outside, reading books, and just getting to know that child as an individual.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is understanding exactly how much you can impact that childs life. Children , especially younger, are very easily influenced. As a nanny your attitude towards them and your outlook on the world can easily influence the way they not only view themselves, but also how they view those around them. So I think its extremely important to keep that in mind, always be kind, understanding, loving, and energetic because you never know what that child may be going through, or how heavily your attitude could contribute to the person they become.
