More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have had several opportunities to care for children both informally and in more structured settings. I have babysat for family members and close friends, looking after children ranging from toddlers to pre-teens. My responsibilities included preparing meals, helping with homework, engaging in creative play, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. In addition to that, I have also volunteered at local community events where I supervised and entertained groups of children through games and educational activities. These experiences have strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and ability to connect with children of different ages and personalities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in creative and educational activities that help them learn and have fun at the same time. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, storytelling, outdoor play, cooking simple recipes together, singing songs, and helping with schoolwork or reading. I also love organizing fun indoor games and imaginative play that keep them active and happy. My goal is always to make sure the children feel safe, encouraged, and entertained while supporting their growth and curiosity.

The most important part about being a nanny...

creating a safe, nurturing, and trusting environment where children feel loved, supported, and free to be themselves. It’s about being dependable and consistent—not just for the children, but also for the parents who are trusting you with their most precious ones. A nanny plays a big role in a child’s development, so being patient, kind, and a good role model is key. It’s also important to communicate openly with parents and work together as a team to support the family’s values and routines.

Aaliya V. - Seeking Work in New Orleans

Babysitter Available in New Orleans, LA: Aaliya V.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with children in a variety of settings, and it’s something I truly enjoy. At the Manning Family Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, I assisted nurses on the Trauma and Physician’s Emergency Certificate floors, helping with daily tasks and ensuring that the children felt supported. Currently, I work at Lawrence D. Crocker Charter School, where I teach ESL classes, lead art activities, and assist with reading practice, helping students grow both academically and creatively.

I have experience babysitting children from 6 months to 12 years old and have also tutored middle schoolers in math, reading, and art at the Boys & Girls Club. Working with children has been a meaningful part of my journey, and I love making a positive impact in their lives. I’m experienced in tasks like preparing meals and changing diapers, and I have my own car, so transportation—including pickups and drop-offs—is never an issue.
