More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Not only am I the oldest female of a group of seven cousins, brothers and sisters, I have years of previous experience. As soon as I got into high school my first job was at a in home daycare with children from 0-10 and I loved it. After a couple years, I moved on to a better position working in a daycare at a private gym. While working at the gym I took on numerous babysitting jobs, and eventually a nannying position with a family I am still very close with.This last year I've done a lot of babysitting, working at the nursing home and volunteering with school age children at the Esplanade House in Chico, a sober living home for residents with children under 18.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love the outdoors, arts and crafts, learning activities,board games baking, playing at the park, swimming, picnics and pretty much anything under the sun. I like to avoid the TV & electronics till a 'down time'.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Letting kids have the best time of their lives, providing them with the best morals, love and attention. ----before they have to grow up :(

My experience with special needs children...

While working at an in home daycare we had several special needs kids. Im most knowledgeable with mild to mid autistic spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Before the youngest of the two boys I nannied was born, I graduated high school. The older one came to my graduation party with his parents and helped me hit a pinata while his very pregnant mother hangout with my mom for hours. It was an amazing experience to have a family that I watched grow finally meet mine and really hit it off. The oldest I nannied for was so happy to see my house and family and I will never forget how small he was.
