- Lead preschool teacher and then lead toddler/infant teacher (I went between both rooms often) at La Petite Academy in Hampton, VA.
- Various babysitting jobs for friends and family, primarily involving after school care.
- Half took over the cooking and housekeeping at La Petite Academy while there.

I love visiting museums and libraries. Both often also have weekly activities to take the kids to as well as visiting parks and other outdoor spaces.

Making sure the kids feel safe, loved, cared for and seen. I didn’t always get that growing up and I know how important it is to a developing mind and body.

The last family I worked for, I would have to be at the house around 6 am for mom to go to work. The kids would still be asleep so I wouldn’t crash on the couch and set an alarm for about 9 am. One morning, I kept hearing giggling that would wake me up but never saw anything when I’d open my eyes. My alarm went off and when I looked at the floor by my head, both kids were curled up, asleep, under their blankets with their pillows.
