A little bit about me

I have worked with kids my whole life, as a nanny, teacher, camp counselor and general caregiver. I have a degree in child development from CSU (Fort Collins) and I am a former school teacher. My main focus is on helping each child learn and grow as individuals. I enjoy the creativity and spontaneity of these types of jobs and the pride and satisfaction of contributing to the future through the nurturing of children. I have years of experience but I'm still a kid at heart and I'm as active as ever. I love the outdoors, games and crafts. My car is a reliable SUV and I have first aid and CPR certification. I am flexible with my schedule and can work nights, weekends or at a moments notice for when unexpected events arise. I do have experience with special needs children, including epilepsy, traumatic brain injury (I cared for a teen girl who was injured in an accident and confined to a wheelchair) and severe ADHD/behavioral issues. I am not bilingual but I have traveled extensively and have experienced many diverse cultures and peoples. I am looking for a long term position with the right family.
