More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
20 years of medical experience. I've worked at Children's Hospital. I've worked with special needs children. I have baby sat for Physicians, family and friends.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Painting, chalk, outdoor adventures on playgrounds or swimming, reading, games, cooking, and watching movies.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being intuitive with the children (hearing what they mean/need) and communicating with the parents. Every child is different. Some of them take a while to warm up and others are completely the opposite. Some of them love to paint and read books, while others want to go swimming or play on the playground. I think it's about really getting to know the child as a person and respecting that they are all different just like adults.
My experience with special needs children...
I was stepmother to a 5 year old little boy who was autistic, I taught him how to play chess but it did take a little while for him to warm up to me. Every special needs child is different. My nephew is also autistic and didn't speak for the longest time. I helped him feel comfortable speaking when he was three. I really think it's because I listened and no one else would. I also cared for a 7-year-old with cerebral palsy and worked on the special needs for at Children's hospital.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was caring for a 5 year old little boy who had autism and I taught him how to play chess. He really learned and it was so fun and you could tell how happy he was.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Panama City, FL: Jennifer C.
My name is Jennifer Crafton I have raised three children practically alone. I am wanting to provide a helping hand to those mothers that are in need of assistance. I am a black female, I am currently 39 yrs old. I have been babysitting since I was ten years old but not professionally. I am currently a cashier for Dollar General off of N. Hwy 231 here in Panama City. I work the evening shift as a cashier. I have been there 2 1/2 years. My living situation is at question due to a slumlord. I have been renting for the last three years. He has apparently allowed me to stay on his property in violation of code enforcement for the last three years. I have a motorhome that was not supposed to be on his property. I've been paying weekly. He has gotten a violation that requires me to find somewhere else to go. Public housing choice vouchers and public housing is full for the year. So I am trying to do something new to assist myself and help others if possible. Thank you for the opportunity.
