I have cared for children in several settings, including my years as the Director of Ms. Mary’s Child Care, where I supported infants, toddlers, and young children with daily routines, learning activities, and a safe, structured environment. I’ve also cared for children in private family settings, helping with meals, playtime, homework, and maintaining consistent routines. My experience includes supporting children with special needs, including an infant who required a feeding tube, where I followed medical instructions carefully and provided gentle, attentive care. In addition, I serve as a volunteer teacher at City Light Church, where I lead children’s lessons, supervised group activities, and created a positive, encouraging space for learning and growth

I enjoy doing a variety of activities with infants and toddlers that support learning, development, and lots of playful fun. With infants, I love tummy time, gentle sensory play, singing songs, reading simple picture books, and helping them explore the world through safe, hands‑on experiences. With toddlers, I enjoy age‑appropriate arts and crafts, outdoor play, building with blocks, practicing colors and shapes, and creating simple learning activities that encourage curiosity and independence. I also enjoy playful routines like music and movement, imaginative play, and helping little ones build confidence through positive, encouraging interactions.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and peaceful environment where infants and toddlers feel protected, understood, and cared for. I believe in being patient, present, and intentional, showing God’s love through kindness, consistency, and compassion. For me, being a nanny is more than a job; it’s a calling to support families, guide little ones with grace, and help them thrive emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with special needs, including an infant who required a feeding tube. I was responsible for cleaning and maintaining the tube, following feeding schedules carefully, and keeping the child comfortable and safe throughout the process. This experience taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and following medical instructions with accuracy. I also have experience supporting children who need extra help with routines, sensory activities, or emotional regulation. My goal is always to create a calm, nurturing environment where each child feels secure, understood, and supported at their own pace.

One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a toddler I cared for take their first independent steps. We had been practicing balance and confidence every day, and when they finally let go of my hands and walked across the room, their smile lit up everything.
