I have been working as a behavioral therapist for kiddos between the ages of 3-15 for about a year. At work, we use incidental teaching, which is where you follow the child's lead regarding what activity they want to do and create learning opportunities within the environment.

I enjoy doing art with children to encourage them to be creative and work on their fine motor skills. I also like to play sports with them and run around to get some movement in. I’m flexible to their interests, so we could be reading to dancing or working on homework.

The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring that the family trusts me and that the child is looking forward to seeing me. It can be difficult to have parents away, but to have a nanny that can make that time enjoyable for the child while the parents can relax knowing that their child is with someone safe can make it a positive experience for everyone.
