Hi! My name is Mary-Patrick, but most people call me MP.

I moved to Raleigh after graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Social Work. Since then, I've worked in ABA therapy with children and have recently moved to the Administrative Operations Manager at my clinic. While I've loved growing into a leadership role, I've realized how much I miss spending time with kids and building those day-to-day connections.

I've been caring for children for years through both professional experience and full-time nannying. I love getting to know each child's unique personality and creating an engaging environment where they feel comfortable and can be themselves.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I previously worked as an ABA Therapist, supporting children with autism and children with a wide range of behavioral needs. I now serve as the Operations Manager at the same clinic, where I've had the privilege of supporting children and families for nearly two years.

Outside of my professional experience, I've spent the past eight years babysitting and nannying for a variety of families, including both occasional babysitting and full-time care. While I love my current role, I truly miss working directly with kids, which is what inspired me to get back into babysitting!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing board games, reading stories, doing crafts, baking, getting creative, and spending time outside! One little thing that's always stuck with me is that I grew up with calming music playing in the background around the house. It's something I still enjoy having on while spending time with kids—it creates a fun, relaxed atmosphere (though I know every family has their own preferences!).

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe there are many qualities that make a great nanny, but the most important are compassion, patience, positivity, and strong communication. Every day with kids is different, so it's important to be adaptable and ready for whatever the day brings!
