Hello, I five years of professional childcare experience from working for seasonal summer day camps (including specialty camps such as the OCC's school of sailing), volunteering in elementary school classrooms, being a personal preschool teacher, three years of professional nannying and 8+ years of personal experience taking care of my own families littles. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My most recent job was as a personal preschool teacher and nanny for one child, I developed appropriate curriculum designed and tailored to my charge. I was with them from 9months - 3yrs. At the same time I provided part time care on non-scheduled hours to three different families in my area with ages 3months-9yrs. All three family’s had at least two children, the siblings, age differences varying from one year to seven years apart in age.

Previously I was a part-time nanny for one family before I joined AmeriCorps where I worked with differently, abled youth, and adults with various non profits during my contract. Prior to that I worked with summer day camps, including the City of Reno and OCC’s School of Sailing. I also volunteered a second and third grade combo class at an elementary school until the COVID shutdown.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing crafts, puzzles, most outdoor activities (such as hiking, park play, swimming, sailing, stretching, walking etc.) cooking and baking. Many of the children I have worked with I’ve taught how to safely make at least two baked goods with recipes I tailor to their ability. I believe in the power of learning through play and encouraging creative development.
