I have been helping in my moms daycare since I was about 15, and I've also been a swim instructor to children for almost 2 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
indoor activities can vary so much! I love playing with sensory things like play-dough or kinetic sand, painting and drawing is always a fun one, and for kids that have a really active imagination it can be fun to just sit and play with their toys together.
Outside activities are my absolute favorite! I think anything with water is a great time (going to the pool, playing in a splash pad or on a water table). For the sporty kids it can be fun to kick a ball around or go to a park and let them get some energy out. For the younger kids I like to just lay a blanket out in the shade and play some music and let them enjoy the outside.

Keeping the child safe comes before all else. Besides that though, being a positive part of a child's day and hopefully being someone they feel comfortable around and feel like they can have fun around is also a very important part of being a nanny.

My favorite moment of nannying so far was when I returned to my kid after a weekend, and she crawled over to my legs and once I picked her up gave me three big hugs! It was absolutely heart warming.
