I am a certified TEFOL Teacher. A Tefol teacher is very similar to any other teacher, except all their students are foreign non-english speakers. I had a wonderful time and i loved all my students!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Pretty much any! Reading is one of my favorites, but i also love creative time, and just chatting with young ones. When i meet a new child i try to think, "what did I need when I was their age?", then i do my best to provide that.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Well, i think as a nanny you want to be approachable, reliable, trusted, and obviously you want the children to listen to you. But here's the key, you want obedience, not from fear, but because they love you. The nanny should be a role model- someone the kids are excited to hear is coming over. I remember when I was little and my nanny would come to the house I would be bouncing off the walls, i couldn't wait to play barbies with her. There's probably a million different things that make a good nanny but just being a child's friend is always a good place to start.
My experience with special needs children...
I have been around many special needs children. Some of the disabilities i've been around include autism (varying degrees), down-syndrome, ADHD, Bipolar, etc.
I also have an HHA certification, so i am used to assisting special needs patients, it holds a special place in my heart.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Oh my! That's sooo difficult to choose! I will choose my most recent one - I was burping my little 5yr old client who's getting used to being propped up. So there i was, just chattering to her twin brother when i felt a gentle slump, i looked down and saw her little cheek laying against my hand - she had fallen asleep mid-burp session. Cutest thing EVER.
