Hello! I'm Megan, I'm 30 and have lived in the Missoula area my whole life! I worked in a Youth Home with kiddos with behavioral issues, as well as mental health struggles. I'm well versed in gentle parenting, childhood development, and attachment theory. Part of my job in the Youth Home was to come up with fun and safe activities for the kids to do each day, and were often theraputic. I am also an artist and have some experience teaching kids to draw and paint, and am very active and willing to run around outside and play for hours! I'm excited to work with you and your kiddos!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at a therapeutic Group Home with young kids. During my time there I learned about early childhood development, attachment theory, and deescalation techniques suitable for children with trauma, behavioral difficulties, and mental health challenges. I also worked in the Adolescent Inpatient Unit with teens at Providence briefly. With this experience, I can guarantee that your kids will be safe and treated with kindness and compassion.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Drawing, painting, beading, and other sorts of arts and crafts. Reading books together, fingernail painting, building with toys. Riding bikes, visiting parks and playgrounds, running through sprinklers, playing volleyball, sidewalk chalk.

Watching the kiddos get excited for Halloween. Seeing their huge bags of candy and big smiles at the end of the night was a blast, and all the work it took to get them out the door was well worth it!
